    The Wilmington, NC area looks to be the hardest hit right now. Looks like there could be some amazing amounts of rain as this storm will just crawl as it hits land. Looks like the DC area won't get as much as expected. But still about 2 or 3 inches of rain is expected here. The ground is already saturated as this has been an unusually wet summer and has rained here most of the this week.
    Kentucky fan since 1971.

      One of the models this morning shows the storm hitting the Wilmington coast and then heading south to slam into Savannah, GA before heading back north. If that came to fruition, that would be insane. If it goes inland, it would be disastrous from the amount of rain headed downstream from the mountains in the Carolinas.

          This storm according to FEMA has been just as bad as was concerned.
          true damage will take weeks to ascertain. Economic impact on the Carolinas areas hit hardest will be unimaginable, and will take months, or years to recover.
