That’s a bummer. Could be he is losing depth chart position to the Iowa kid.

I haven’t gotten to listen today but it makes sense based on what I saw at the spring game.

Best of luck to the young man. Really hate this considering he's a Kentucky kid.
I have really been rooting for him.
I had really high hopes for he and Drew Barker before them. Hate it for them…

This is a big loss. People will say he was slipping down the depth chart, or never found his footing, or that it is best for both parties. But, IMO, he provided some much needed depth. I hope we will be smart enough to play some other guys in mop up duty this year. To date, Stoops has not done that. I think he will have to this year.
I've complained about this (coaches not playing back-ups) until I'm blue in the face. I wonder how many good players have left UK, in the past, because they never saw the field?

Probably no more or less than any other comparable school.

I have never heard of a backup QB getting much run unless a team was up by 40.

I find the timing a bit odd. He had to know, after the season Will had last year and especially after spring practice, that he wasn't going to be the starting QB. You'd think he would have left sooner if he is looking for playing time this coming season. I read something today (not from an official source) that might explain his delay in leaving. This person said that Beau was in serious danger of being replaced as Will's back-up by Hogue.

Timing is everything on this. The Iowa Kid had a good spring and i would bet he is neck and neck for the back up. I hear he has a better arm than Beau. So it could be that Beau was QB3 by the end of fall camp. No one that was top 500 want to be QB3 for UK. I would say we see Beau at WKU or EKU.
With the recent discussion of rules and what is and is not posted I set out to find what our mission statement originally was and this is what I found:...
