  • Huge Recruiting announcement Posted by WildCat Rick on Facebook: Boley to UK ‘24

Big time announcement coming Thursday May 18th. One of the best QB's in the country will pick his college.
Cutter Boley will be deciding between Alabama, Florida State, Miami, Michigan, Notre Dame, Oregon, Penn State, TCU, Tennessee, and Kentucky.
According to Rivals, Boley is the #12 overall player, the # 2 pro-style quarterback, and the # 1 player in the state of Kentucky for the 2025 class.
Every recruiting prediction has been for Kentucky.
Boley has an official visit scheduled to Lexington on the weekend of June 10th.

Getting a commitment, which I believe we will, is half of the job. Keeping him is the other half. Still, it's nice to know we're very much in the hunt.

Totally true. But with THIS caliber recruit it’s not like an Alabama swoops in at the end and steals him from us with a late offer. He already knows everyone wants him. But, still, by the time he graduates high school the QB situations will be different at all his top choices and we’d still have to hang on (assuming he picks UK to begin with).

He sounds like the best in state QB recruit since Tim Couch.

          Agree.

Justin Rowland, of Rivals, states that Boley has already made his decision and has notified the staff to which he is committing.

So did Barker and Towles. But we can always hope.

                I've seen him play...

I don't get the hype, but I hope he is a cat, and as good as Couch.
                Aspirational...

Couch could throw a pass 30-35 yards like a rope and was so very accurate. Hope this kid can do that. What do you think?

That if Coen wants wants the player, he will fit in his system. Don't know if the ability to throw a rope for 30-35 yards, is needed in the offence Liam wants to run but it sure can't hurt.

I guess so. With his offer sheet I’m sure he is good, he just seemed like a normal good hs qb in the game I saw, not an amazing transcendent, once in a generation player. It seems like that’s what everyone expects.

Thanks Spirit and LG for your thoughts. I haven't seen or heard of this kid until yesterday, but I do hope he picks UK and sticks.

I think Barker and Towles and even Hogan have caused me to be a little skeptical of QBs with only high school "stars" on their resume. I used to feel the same about UK big men until Cousins. Couch and Cousins/Wall were the first players in their respective sports that lived up to the hype when they got on campus. (in my fan lifetime maybe there were others before, I wasn't really paying attention until 87 or 88)

Other players were good, Towles was good in time, but Couch set the world on fire as soon as he was in a non-stupid offense.

Boley will announce his decision at 11am. This could be a big boost to the program and also our recruiting efforts for the class of 2025.
