This is simply speculation on my part, but I have a hard time seeing Calipari coaching here past next season.

I think it depends on Wagner. If Cal lands him, he’ll stick around to coach him, which would sort of bring his career full circle. If DJ goes to Louisville, I’d say Cal will hang it up.

There is speculation (on Rivals) that Cal is interested in an NBA assistant from one the four teams involved in the conference finals. That would explain the lack of apparent action. Additional speculation points to Heat assistant Chris Quinn.
