Probably Reeves will start, and I'm afraid to guess beyond that.

Don’t play Wheeler with a bad ankle but play CJ with a cracked rib??

I posted this on Twitter. What happened to playing with injured ribs, or is it just fb players who do that?

              It's uncanny.

Of course if this were a good team we'd just shrug at this and say "next man up" or whatever. But because we're in total desperation mode everything is amplified.

Still, I can't remember hardly anybody being out in Cal's first four or five years.

Right before Nerlens’ injury I recall thinking how lucky we had been regarding injuries. Then Poythress nearly suffered that gnarly dental injury and it was like the flood gates opened from there….

We’re so cursed with injuries, now that I think about it, I guess I really can’t blame Shaedon Sharpe for not playing here

You know, why can’t CJ just put a LidoDerm patch on it and be available?

Hey UK, I’m not a physician and I’m not trained in or experienced with sports medicine, but if you need some help with the med team I can become available. Just let me know!!

Yep, Nerlens. That was our first devastating one...and really our first big one period.

I remember Eric Bledsoe being out a game that first season. It shows Deandre Liggins being out a few games but IIRC he was suspended. The next season everybody played 38 games per Jon Scott. In 2012 everybody played 40 except Terrence Jones, but he was out a couple games after that car wreck. Nerlens was the next season. In the following year it shows everybody played 40 except Willie Cauley-Stein, who played 37. Could've been an injury there. In the next season was the Poythress thing.

So that means in Cal's first five years there were just three or four injuries total. We've had that many this season.

Terrence Jones came this close to robbing us of that title. Which reminds me of how lucky we were in those first five years. Bledsoe and his eligibility, getting Brandon Knight instead of Kyrie / Selby, Jones returning , Jones not getting a DUI, nothing happening about Davis and the rumors of his recruitment, etc.

Really the only piece of horrible luck that I can remember was Kanter. Oh, and it was unlucky that we had to play bleeping UConn so many times.

Good information and at some point it's a trend that needs attention.

Just off the top of my head it was Jarred Vanderbilt's foot, then PJ Washington's foot, then Terrence Clarke out virtually all year, then Fredrick, TyTy, and Wheeler last season (with Grady saying after the season he'd been playing hurt all year), then Oscar this off-season followed by virtually everybody else on the team.

That's an avalanche of injury. So much so that I don't think it can be attributed to bad luck.

Not to mention Davis has been injured virtually ever since 2012. We seem to have gotten his healthy year. That’s lucky
