This may open up the spot for Josh Pastner to come aboard. Rumor been circulating he was coming.

Me neither. Give the position to Ulis if he has the educational requirements if needed.

I agree 100%. I'd love to see coach Robic return, but I doubt if that ever happens. At least as long as Cal is here.

Doesn't get me excited too much either. But, it may be the case that Pastner would be the best "coach" that we'd have on staff, besides Cal. If that tells you anything about the strength (or lack thereof) of our coaching staff as pure coaches 😬

Neither here nor there but I remember CBS running a thing on Pastner when he played for Arizona in 1997. He was a freshman at the time and they had put him in a sort of player/coach position where he sat over there in his warm-ups and actually did some coaching beside Lute Olson.

Who woulda thought that 25 years later he'd be out here looking for a job.

To be fair, there was a time when he was an absolute stud on the recruiting trail. If he’s still got it, it’d probably be a good hire.

This is what I was thinking. Regardless of his lack of success as a head coach he was once regarded on the Kenny Payne level as a recruiter. And isn’t that primarily what Cal asks if his assistants? Could be good. But don’t bring him in to recruit for a year then make him Cal’s successor!

Yes, they would have a very formidable recruiting staff with him, Orlando, and Chin. But I'm not sure both of them will be back. Cal may have to replace multiple assistants this off season.

Kyle Tucker alluded to this, but I assumed he meant KT and Bruiser. The latter is already being mentioned for the Temple job.

WCN Question: Can anyone tell me what purpose Bruiser serves besides chomping on a pack-of-gum on the side lines?
