2018: 1-seed loses to 16-seed with UK in the same region. UK then proceeds to lose to Kansas St.

2023: 1-seed loses to 16-seed. UK plays Kansas St in same region tomorrow…..

After a really blah day yesterday the night brought it.

I'm sure somebody on this thread has mentioned this but the craziest part of the whole Farleigh-Dickinson deal is that they wouldn't even be in the tournament without the Bellarmine rule. It's totally crazy.

I read this last night..and FDU was the play in game....they said this was the worse loss in NCAA tournament history

They have former Florida player Keyontae Johnson. He was the kid who collapsed when COVID first started and everybody assumed it was because he'd had COVID, but I believe he had a heart condition. He sat out last year (Kentucky allowed him to participate in our game at the opening tip on senior day) and then he transferred to Kansas St. He's a very good player and will be a super tough match-up for us.

I wouldn't be shocked if we won but I would be surprised.

Duke and the ugly orange play this afternoon. Can they both lose? I honestly can’t pull for either one. Don’t particularly want to play UT again.

Usually I'm a "hard to beat a team three times" kind of guy, but I don't feel that with this year's Tennessee team. I think it's nearly a perfect matchup for our guys. Assuming, of course, we make it that far. Kansas St worries me.

Duke doesn’t scare me, necessarily, but I’d prefer another round with UT to dealing with the size and length of Duke’s front court.

I don't think so either. I'm not sure if anyone other than Alabama is gonna beat Duke. And that's a toss-up. They're playing some good Ball right now.

Meh. Their pre-tourney win streak isn’t as impressive as the W-L totals might imply. Miami was their only top-40 win during that time, and they were only at 39.

Duke's size is the most daunting thing about them. Also their youth makes you wonder if they're a team like 2014 Kentucky where they just took a long time to come together.

I don't think they'll win it but anytime you bring length and size like that on the front line then you're super dangerous. I don't want any part of them because they're the exact kind of team Kentucky hasn't been able to crack all year.
