If UConn wins the championship this year, they will have won five championships (under three coaches) in a span of 24 years. Will have won championships in four different decades. Won their first in 1999.

Duke won their five championships (under one coach) in a span of 24 years. Have won championships in three different decades. Won their first in 1991, just eight years earlier than UConn.

Why wouldn't UConn be considered a "Blue Blood", if everyone assumes (rightly) that Duke is a Blue Blood? Because I don't think they'll be considered a Blue Blood, but other than Duke getting close and choking for a few decades prior to UConn getting close, I don't know a way to explain why not.

I’m watching the Houston-Miami game. These are two teams that so far are playing a similar style. Both are shooting from the perimeter often and I don’t see a lot of motion off of the dribble. They drop back in defense when a shot is taken.

After a two-hour drive and listening on the radio, SD St has looked very good these last few minutes! I despise the charge call, in general and in that specific circumstance. Even if it's technically the right call. If I was a coach, I wouldn't play a guy that just stood there waiting to fall down upon contact. #Weak

Somebody on Twitter pointed out this morning that if UCONN wins it all, that will be their 3rd title with 3 different coaches in the Cal era.

There's not an emoticon that exists that sums up what I feel about that.

They are infuriating. Won titles with crappy teams in 11 and 14. Knocking Cats out in F4 and title game. To think the Cats had that great 14 run ended by Kevin Ollie. Didn't he get fired for cause? I think I saw he coaches Overtime Elite now. Should be managing a floundering Foot Locker in a decrepit NJ mall. After UK was eliminated UConn was third on my Must Lose list after the orange stain and UCLA.
