I don’t know, Alabama has thrown an avalanche of size at people this year.

You can do it if your guards are tough.

Today, they reported what they heard happened behind the scenes (to help explain the mediocre product that we saw on the court), and they were respectful enough to wait until the season was over to do it.

Their criticisms of Cal, the players, and the program have never been done with malice and are usually always fair. The only time they're not is when somebody who doesn't listen to the show gets a piece of a soundbite and puts words in Matt's mouth.

KSR is certainly not perfect, but no entertainment/media outlet is. Their brand is fan entertainment and silliness, and while that might not by everybody's cup of tea, saying that they actively court drama is not true and it's not fair.

The truth is that the Kentucky basketball program is in a precarious position. There are a lot of stories on the court and off the court. There are a lot of balls in the air, no pun intended, and there are a lot of questions and uncertainties going forward. If you have a show that focuses exclusively on Kentucky sports, to pretend like it's all sunshine and lollipops is irresponsible and dishonest. If you want completely one-sided, unfair pitchfork waving, head over to Rupp's Rafters. Those clowns love misery and court drama actively.
I agree Matt talks truth about Cal and the team and does it well. I listen to the show too. But, going back to the beginning of his show, Matt was trying to build an audience and did it with anything he could come up with. He even hosted a White Castle eating contest and held it at a WCN Tailgate. I was there and believe me Matt Jones has always been very dramatic with his show. We talked again at the Final Four in New Orleans, and he was the same way. I'm a Matt Jones fan and him being dramatic is not a bad thing.

We'll have the Shepherd kid. He has a very good mid range jumper and is decent behind the arc..

I believe Jones said the disparity of NIL money each player received was an issue (or similar to those words.)

Hopefully Dillingham and Reeves as well. But as always with UK, who really knows?

Cal will LOVE that mid-range jumper... and losing because we take them.
                          Aspirational...

Having seen Sheppard play outside of YouTube videos, what you're getting with him is a top-shelf athlete who will hold his own with anybody we have as far as agility and speed. Can really get up and down the floor, much like his dad.

It remains to be seen if he's strong enough to get big minutes as a freshman and/or if he'll be on the level of the others we have coming in so that he can get some consistent PT. But I expect him to play at least a little even if they all show up, and if they don't all show up he'll likely play a lot. He's not just some Kentucky kid who will fill a space on the roster. Guy can play.

Also, going back to this past season again, Sam Vecenie has a podcast episode out where he talks a lot about Kentucky. Like 10 solid minutes' worth of analysis.

Some I agree with, some I don't, but the gist is basically that Kansas St. had more talent. "More dudes," he says. Then he goes on a long riff about what Kentucky needs to do as far as building a roster and putting guys in particular positions.

Vecenie has said all year that Oscar is a problem. He said it last year at the end as well. Says that in the pick-and-roll era guys like Oscar are going to be killers because they can't guard the way you have to in this era. Says you can't win a championship with Oscar on the roster.

I thought you meant he muckrakes to create drama, not that he is theatrical.
