When the whole point and purpose of Kentucky basketball is "Stay One Year," and it was set up that way 14 years ago, and when you've got Shai and Toppin on AT&T commercials wryly joking about it...well, you can see what sort of Frankenstein monster situation Cal created.

Also guys like Bryce Hopkins and Johnny Juzang have shown that you can leave Kentucky and be a really good player. The one-and-done framework, the ease of the portal, the success stories we've seen of players transferring out of Kentucky...it's a perfect storm of risk. Which is a major reason (along with recruiting whiffs) we are where we are.

Agreed. I also think Cal needs to get out of the Bobby Knight style on the sidelines screaming at these kids. May have worked in the old days but we in a different society today, it don't work in my opinion and if it does, it has to be someone the kids can relate to off the court and that ain't Calipari, Kenny Payne was that guy for Kentucky...

Maybe, i don't know the answer that's for sure. I just notice with other teams after the games players are hugging the Coach laughing smiling and joking, not sure i that with Calipari, it always seems so serious...

I think it's that nobody thinks he can get eligible. His educational journey has been...interesting.

I was hoping Kentucky would put out some feelers for the Princeton guy (nickname: "Ivy League Giannis") but he's most definitely gonna be drafted. Guy's really, really good.

Well today and yesterday there have been tons of rumors. 1. Onyenso to Big East school (not returning to UK). 2. Collins (heading closer to home (Texas school)). 3. Dillingham will not be coming due to Grades. Most saying all 3 have legs. We could be in for a wild off season ride here guys. Anyone else heard these rumors today?
