    UK Hires John Welch to Coaching Staff

    It's official, John Welch joins the UK coaching staff and the press release specifically states that he will be heavily involved with the offense as well as the lead coach for on the court development. So it sounds like UK is finally trying to address the void in the staff since Robic has left the program.

    Sounds like a strong hire, hope it pays off for us.

      I know nothing about Coach John Welch, but if Cal will allow him to coach the offense, I'm for him. But I will have to see the improvement first.

        I’m with you. I am very skeptical that Cal will let anyone help on offense. All the assistant coaches that have come through UK since Cal has been here and none were capable of coaching the offense?? Will believe it when I see it😊

            He wasn't hired to coach offense. It's scouting and game planning.

              I have no idea, but the press release Matt Colvin posted, says he will be heavily involved in the offense and lead coach in on court development.
